POWDER BAKING OVEN

After the powder has been applied, the part must then be placed in the powder curing oven, in which the powder is hardened or melted and turned into a smooth layer of paint. Depending on the type of powder, curing temperatures can vary between 180°C and 240°C. A powder oven consists of a tunnel and integrated multi-leaf dampers or ventilation slots. With a heating system and a recirculation fan, the air is circulated around the dryer and heated up. Either gas, oil, warm water or electricity can be used here as a means of heating.

A MONTA powder oven consists of specially developed insulation cassettes, which provide the benefit of excellent insulation and therefore help to ensure greater energy efficiency.
